HELP A PERSON IN NEED KEEP WARM
December is here and The Jackson Clinics is now accepting donations of mittens, gloves, hats, socks, & scarves for our Warm Hearts/Warm Hands program. Old or new, large and small, all colors and styles! Each of our locations has a bin where you can place your donations. Items will be sorted and distributed to shelters within our local community. Unfortunately, this list has grown so we really need your help this year! Last year, we collected almost 400 pieces of warming wear donated by our patients. Help us double that number this year!
Thank you for your help!
The Jackson Clinics provided complimentary athletic services last weekend at London Town Elementary School in Centreville and Hutchinson Park in Herndon. Our ATC’s were there to support 28 teams and over 400 athletes participating in soccer and flag football leagues with Fairfax Athletics.

Press Release , August 18th, 2011 – Physical Therapy at The Nation’s Triathlon
Nicole started with the Jackson Clinics June 21, 2011 as an Exercise Specialist. This is her second year competing in The Nations Triathlon. Nicole lived overseas for 6 years where she pursued Ballet opportunities and became certified in Personal Training and Group exercise. Upon moving back to the states she became a certified Yoga Instructor and started training in other sports besides skiing, snowboarding, cycling and ballet. Nicole likes to train for triathlons in the Washington area and she recently competed in her first half-iron man! She said she is not much of a competitor; she just likes the atmosphere of sporting events. Good luck to Nicole and all our athletes this weekend!!
Erin has been a physical therapist with the Jackson Clinics for almost 3 years and currently works in our Old Town office. This will be her third year racing the Nation’s Triathlon for team TJC! Erin swam competitively from age 6 through high school and played water polo for four years at James Madison University. She has always enjoyed running and competing in local road running races. She bought her first (and only) road bike while in PT school at the University of Delaware. Shortly thereafter, one of her classmates introduced her to triathlon and she fell in love with the sport. She loves the cross training and healthy lifestyle it promotes, as well as the positive atmosphere and sense of accomplishment displayed by athletes of all abilities on race day. Her most recent excitement was racing with her husband as he completed in his first sprint distance triathlon!
Erin came in SECOND last year in her age group!!!! Good luck this year!

Andrea started working for TJC in July 2011 as a Physical Therapist in our Old Town office. This will be her first year participating in the Nation’s Triathlon, Sep. 11, 2011! Andrea began competitive swimming at age 5 and continued to swim throughout high school & college. She was a member of the varsity swim team for four years at George Washington Univ. Following college, she got her first bike and competed in her first triathlon and was hooked!! When she started PT school at Duke University, she joined the Duke Triathlon Team. For the three years while at Duke, she enjoyed swimming, biking, and running with the triathlon team on a daily basis.
To date Andrea has completed 14 triathlons, 2 marathons, and several half marathons and has just completed the Lake Placid Ironman on July 24, 2011. She is looking forward to racing in the Nation’s Triathlon! Good luck Andrea!
Laura is a Physical Therapist in our Fairfax location and has been working for The Jackson Clinics for two years. We are excited to have Laura participating in this year’s The Nation’s Triathlon for the 3rd year! She was a NCAA Division 1 track and field high jumper at Samford University and Duke University.
