TJC Holiday Program

January 3, 2011

Once again this year, TJC staff came together to help spread the holiday spirit to those in need with the Holiday Program.

The Holiday Program is a company and employee community service initiative through Our Daily Bread, a Fairfax based non-profit organization serving families in need. Last year they served over 3700 families and this year the need was even greater, with over 5000 famlies referred for assistance.

Last year, TJC adopted 3 families with a total of 10 children. This year we were able to fulfill 12 area children’s wishes with gifts under the Christmas tree and stock 3 family’s pantries with food for Christmas dinner and beyond!

Thank you again to all our staff for helping make these families holidays a little brighter this year!

Nations Tri 2010 Wrap Up

September 15, 2010
The 2010 Nations Triathlon has officially ended and The Jackson Clinics can once again say we were proud to be the Official Physical Therapy Provider!

We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all of our staff who volunteered for this year’s event. We had over 25 staff members volunteer to work in the Athletic Services tent and many more participated in the Expo. They made this event a rousing success for The Jackson Clinics and we applaud their efforts.

The rain on Sunday may have dampened spirits somewhat during travel, parking and walking to the site, but once athletes started coming in everyone pulled together and got to work. All in all over 500 athletes were served. It is a wonderful event for us to participate in because ALL of the athletes who come in are so appreciative of the service we provide. The rain unfortunately caused more Road Wrecks so we did quite a bit more bandaging than last year. Thankfully we had hundreds of Mylar blankets to hand out to help warm athletes after a cold and wet event.

Congratulations to our very own Erin Burlovich who came in SECOND in her age group!!!! Our team of Jackie De Conti (Arnold), Rene Soule, and Gavin Cribb finished strong, as did individual participant Laura Malnati.

Thank you again for your help and support. We are already looking forward to next year’s big event!
