Broken right arm at an advance age (for the first time & hopefully never happens again) was a very unsettling experience for me — and I consider myself “a toughie”…my tolerance for pain is high; but, I was in great pain. Rob and Dan worked with me most of the time; Ryan worked with me a couple of times…the whole staff from Jacquelyn Andres to the admin people were accommodating and welcoming.

Rob, Dan, and Ryan are the best in their professions — were encouraging, considerate…they tailored the activities to suit the patient…I do know that my injury healed quicker because of their techniques and know-how.

How well am I now? For Valentine’s Day I chose to cook at home and served my husband a scrumptious dinner – used my “new” right hand! To further celebrate my right hand, I intend to stay home/cook another great dinner for my husband’s coming up 60th birthday.

Historically, having had seven previous surgeries, I do not associate physical therapy as pleasurable but I actually began looking forward to my appointments. Your staff is highly professional and genuinely caring about every person. Without exception, they were always cheerful, demonstrated great teamwork, and were able to juggle multiple patients without offending anyone as best I could tell.

You deserve credit for hiring and retaining such a great group. Please pass on my gratitude to Ben, Kristin, Erin, Christine, Kellie, Jothi, and Ruby.

This is to give acclaim to the staff and therapy I received at the Shirlington Jackson Clinic. In April I had a first total knee replacement, and from May to July, I was provided therapy by Jackie Andres and both Dan Jones and Ryan Battisti. I had a second total knee replacement in October followed by outpatient therapy from November to December. Again, Jackie, Dan and Ryan provided therapy. Their professionalism, skill, knowledge, and friendliness were exemplary.

The first replacement experience was very difficult. Were it not for the wonderful care, understanding, and skill of these great folks my rehabilitation would have been problematic. Fortunately, because they were so good, I was able to recover in eight weeks from my second knee replacement. I genuinely enjoyed going to the Jackson clinic and though they worked me very hard, their friendliness and cheer really motivated me to work hard.

I’ve rarely experienced such great care for a physical injury. The Jackson Clinics can be very proud to have such dedicated and skilled staff.

My experience at this clinic was great. The people are very friendly and professional. My therapist, Marianna is amazing at what she does. Her knowledge of her job is just out of this world. I really enjoyed having her as my therapist. I really like how they educate you on everything being done in each session. Thanks so much.

I was referred to physical therapy after an MRI of my calf showed a severe strain of the soleus. I had gone to my doctor on 25 October after experiencing pain in my calf following a short run on 19 October. The pain did not dissipate, so I made an appointment thinking that perhaps I needed new orthotics. My doctor ordered an MRI of my leg, and when the MRI showed no signs of tears, he prescribed physical therapy with the Jackson Clinic. My first appointment was the afternoon of 2 November.

When I arrived at the Tysons office, Brett greeted me and began to take my history. He examined my leg, which was swollen. The swelling included my ankle and knee, and he said he thought it was “shiny.” We talked about my injury and symptoms, and then Brett told me that he thought I might have a blood clot. He said that he would not work on me until I had my leg re-imaged with Doppler. He was very professional, but he did stress that I needed to get the imaging done immediately. He tried to reach my doctor, but he was not available, so Brett suggested I go the hospital for imaging. He walked me to my car and I assured him I would see a doctor.

I proceeded to go the Emergency Room at INOVA Fairfax, as suggested. To make a long story short, I had a severe clot extending from my groin to mid-calf and multiple pulmonary emboli in both lungs. I was not experiencing any symptoms other than leg pain. I was admitted to the hospital Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday a vascular team put in an IVC filter to keep additional clots out of my lungs, and they inserted a sheath into my leg to deliver blood thinners directly to the clot. The sheath was removed Saturday, and I came home on Sunday. I am doing well, on blood thinners, and following up with a primary care physician.

The staff in the Emergency Room said I was very lucky, and I concur. If Brett had not sent me to the hospital, I would have continued to limp around on my leg and it is likely I would have endangered myself even more.

I am deeply indebted to Brett, and I want you know what he did to save my life.

I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to your staff at your Shrirlington, Arlington, Virginia Clinic, for helping me in my rehabilitation after my anterior cervical discectomy & fusion surgery in May 2011. Of particular note, I would like to thank Jacqueline Andres and Dan Jones, for putting up with me during my many sessions.

I must tell that I was not thrilled with the physical therapy process after my experiences with a Brand X outfit in Fairfax earlier this year. But from the first day I went into your Shirlington Clinic, I knew I was in the right place to get well. To compare your operation with the Brand X outfit would be like comparing night to day. You all are a cut above even the best!

When I went to see my neurologist earlier this month, he told me that I may never get back to fully normal. However, I feel I am at least at 90 percent and with what your folks taught, I may try to prove my neurologist wrong.

What more can I say? But thanks to Jackie, Dan, and the crew at your Shirlington Clinic.

I just wanted to commend your staff at the Walker Lane clinic, in Springfield. I’ve been going to the clinic over the past three years, first for my back, then my shoulder, and most recently, my neck. I was just released, yesterday, by Alisha for my neck. For my back and shoulder, I had Cassie, and occasionally, Patti and Tony.

Everyone of the staff were friendlly and very professional. These people know what they’re doing. I recently brought my nephew, who is a PTA from Seattle, and he was very impressed with the whole operation. My sincerest regards go to the staff, with thanks to Patti, Cassie, Alisha, Laura, Lauren, Hillary, Nicole, Tony, and, last but not least, to April who runs the front desk.

I am a water aerobics instructor for Fairfac County and have several clients who go to your clinic, and they also have special praise for this clinic.
