Foot Program
Foot Program: Foot pain is usually a matter of control, or loss of control. The foot during walking is at the mercy of the function of the lower limb. A great deal of joint cooperation needs to occur for the foot to function properly.
In addition, there can be intrinsic malalignment that can occur. Our overall goal with the foot is to restore stability. That often requires passive support (orthotics) and active retraining of a person’s gait. There are a many conditions including surgery that can be causing your pain. Our rehab program will be tailored to your specific problem and will include the following:
- Rapid pain relief program
- Control, control, control with insoles and orthotics
- Tape, brace
Exercise, exercise, exercise - Restoration of proper alignment to normalize weight bearing through the joints
- Patient education with proactive patient involvement
- Development of home treatment program
- Hands on therapy
