The first step to successful rehabilitation and recovery is a complete evaluation. The physical therapist’s evaluation will include an examination of your muscles, test of your joints, and assessment of your injury or condition. At this time education about your condition and an initial plan of care will be given. Next comes hands on manual therapy.

Michael graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. Followed by completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at The University of Kentucky in 2011. He became board certified as a clinical specialist in Sports Physical Therapy in 2014. Followed by completion of The Upper Extremity Athlete Sports Physical Therapy Fellowship program through The Jackson Clinics in 2017. Michael is a current member of The American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists. He has remained as a faculty member in The Upper Extremity Sports Physical Therapy Fellowship to continue to provide education and mentoring to fellows-in-training.
Education: Jackie graduated from Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2017. She attended James Madison University for her undergraduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with a concentration of gerontology in 2014.
Specialties: Jackie has a strong interest in musculoskeletal injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. She also has a passion for rehabbing patients with goals of return to sports and running.
Fun Facts: Jackie loves to stay active and spend time with her dogs. She enjoys running, weight lifting, hiking, and snowboarding. She has spent several winters volunteering with adaptive snow sports programs.
