Dr. Kathryn Hayes, Clinic Director

Dr. Kathryn Hayes, PT, DPT, OCS

Education: Kathryn graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. She also received a post post-baccalaureate graduate certificate in the Virginia Leadership Education Program in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (Va-LEND). Kathryn accomplished an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency with the Jackson Clinics and became board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in Spring 2020. Kathryn is a direct access provider and has been a member of the APTA since 2017.

Specialties: Kathryn is skilled in orthopedic rehabilitation with a specialty in lower extremity athletes. She has a special interest in pediatrics and young teens concerning sports injuries, neurodevelopmental disorders, gait abnormalities, and other musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Kathryn is specialized in 3D running analysis for improvement of performance, improvement in running efficiency, decrease pain, and prevention of injury.

Fun Facts: Kathryn enjoys a variety of sports including trail running, soccer, and horseback riding.

Falcon VII, Canine Companion Dog



Falcon VII

Falcon VII is a Labrador/Golden Retriever cross who works alongside Dr. Kat Hayes in the clinic. He was carefully bred and expertly trained by Canine Companions specifically for this type of work — supporting patients and making therapy sessions both effective and enjoyable.

His favorite tasks include providing deep pressure therapy and pushing a soccer ball back and forth with patients. Falcon also assists with balance exercises, such as tapping on a wobble board or playing fetch while a patient is in a single-leg stance.

Falcon brings playful, positive energy to the clinic while supporting physical therapy goals. Always ready to lend a paw and a smile, he helps make PT sessions a little more fun.

Dr. Chris Adams, Physical Therapist



Dr. Chris Adams, PT, DPT, OCS

Education: Chris completed his undergraduate work at Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Therapy. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound with his Doctor of Physical Therapy in May 2013. Chris accomplished an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency with the Jackson Clinics in September of 2023. Chris is direct access provider and has been a member of the APTA since 2010.

Specialties: Chris is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. Chris has an interest in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He has a background in post-operative rehabilitation, working with patients participating in high school athletics, and treating common orthopedic injuries.

Fun Facts: Chris enjoys geocaching, playing dominoes and board games with his children, spending time outdoors with his family, and watching Star Wars. He does not discriminate against sports; as long as it has a ball, puck, or some kind of score, he’ll enjoy watching it. He is an avid Seahawks fan and could hold his own in a conversation with a sports broadcaster.

Education: Monica graduated from High Point University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in April 2024, where she was part of the student executive board for HPU Pro Bono Clinic. She completed her undergraduate work at Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health and a minor in Psychology.

Specialties: Monica has experience treating a variety of orthopedic and post-operative conditions. She has a strong interest in vestibular and post-operative rehabilitation; she also enjoys working with patients that have balance disorders and vertigo related to BPPV.

Fun Facts: Monica has lived in several areas along the East Coast (SC, NC, VA, NJ, MA), but her favorite area to live so far is Northern Virginia. During undergrad, Monica was part of a non-competitive dance team and performed in several showcases in NJ. In her free time, she loves to play board games, go on hikes, and dabble in random craft projects.

Dr. Robert Sigler, Physical Therapist

Dr. Robert Sigler, PT, DPT, OCS

Education: Robert graduated from Regis University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011. He completed the Orthopedic Residency Program the following year in 2012. He received an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) and is a Board Certified Direct Access Provider. In 2018-2019, he completed a Foot/Ankle Fellowship and has expertise with the whole lower extremity.

He has been to both Ethiopia and Kenya as part of PT related services and continues to support these programs wholeheartedly. He enjoys being a mentor and teacher for TJC’s residency/fellowship programs.

He teaches 4 classes, integrates 3D camera running technology for runners, certified in trigger point dry needling, and prescribes custom orthotics when appropriate.

He is a member of the APTA and AOFAS as professional organizations. This allows excellent resources to related treatments and services in Physical Therapy.

Specialties: Robert has an OCS and is a Fellow that specializes in foot/ankle. He has developed specialties with treating orthopedic foot surgeries, neural pathologies, orthotic prescription, runners, and other lower extremity conditions. He has interest in injury prevention and can include ergonomics, healthy living (nutrition/exercise), and wellness.

Fun Facts: Robert has competed in multiple sports from soccer to gymnastics all the way through college.  He grew up in Colorado and is an avid Broncos fan!!

Dr. Sarah Kazarian, Physical Therapist



Dr. Sarah Kazarian, PT, DPT, MS

Education: Sarah graduated from Radford University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise, Sport and Health Education. She went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from George Mason University in 2022 and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marymount University in 2025. Sarah has been an active member of the APTA since 2022.

Specialties: Sarah has a special interest in Pelvic and Women’s Health, orthopedic conditions and post-operative rehabilitation, and sports rehabilitation. During her clinical training, she worked extensively with gymnasts, tumblers, and cheerleaders, drawing on her own background as a gymnast and competitive cheerleader to connect with athletes and support their return to sport.

Fun Facts: Outside the clinic, Sarah enjoys weightlifting and spending time with her cat, Maverick. She admits to being drawn to claw machines no matter the prize and will take any opportunity she can to relax on the beach. In her downtime, she enjoys reading and recharging with a good book.

Bryan Schendlinger
Bryan Schendlinger, ATC

Education: Bryan attended Ithaca College and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. He passed his NATABOC exam in 2002. He has been a licensed Athletic Trainer in NJ, NY, PA, VA, and MD and a member of NATA since 2000. He was in a hospital outreach position covering high school athletics for 17 years in PA before joining The Jackson Clinics in 2019.

Specialties: Bryan has a strong background in orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation. He has experience covering and treating athletics from the youth to D1 college levels. With a musical background and fondness for the performing arts, he has enjoyed working with and treating dancers, performers and musicians.

Fun Facts: Besides treating those in the performing arts world, Bryan has in the past also designed and built sets for stage productions. He is a big fan of history and trivia, and enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife seeing new places and trying new things.
