Emily Horst, PT, DPT, OCS

Education: Emily graduated from Slippery Rock University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2017. She also completed her undergraduate work at Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science.

Specialties: Emily has a strong interest and background in treating sport and orthopedic injuries with a special interest and experience treating patients with rock climbing injuries.  Emily is certified in dry needling and blood flow restriction therapy. Emily enjoys working with patients of all ages to help them reach their goals and perform at their greatest potential.

Fun Facts: Emily is from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, biking, and rock climbing. Emily enjoys traveling and has had the opportunity to provide physical therapy services in Peru and travel to Kenya with the Jackson Clinics to teach physical therapy students there.

Elena Danos, PT, DPT

Education: Elena graduated from the University of Delaware with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in December of 2021. During that same time, she also received a Master\’s in clinical Anatomy and Health Science. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Currently, she is one of The Jackson Clinic’s Orthopedic Residents and has been a member of the APTA since 2019.

Specialties: Elena has a strong interest and background in working with patients with a variety of orthopedic injuries, including traumatic and overuse injuries, as well as guiding patients through post-operative rehabilitation. She loves helping patients get back to doing the things they want to do!

Fun Facts: Elena danced ballet for 13 years, including one year in the trainee program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Having been an injured dancer herself, she has a passion for working with performing artists and has a unique understanding of the complex world they come from. In her spare time, you can find Elena preparing for a Spartan race, going to Old Town Alexandria’s farmer’s market, reading on her Kindle, or spending time with her friends, or her cat (Bailey).

Haval Rasheed, PT, DPT

Education: Haval graduated from Mary Baldwin University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2022. He completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science. He has been a member of the APTA since 2019.

Specialties: Haval has a strong interest and background in orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Previously a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Haval enjoys working with athletes and has a strong background in return-to-sport testing, sport-specific rehab, and injury prevention exercise. Haval is also passionate about treating the spine and posture related pain/syndromes.

Fun Facts: Haval in his free time loves to travel, go to concerts, rock climb, skateboard, play tennis, and EAT. Haval is also a fried chicken sandwich connoisseur, as his current venture is to try every fried chicken sandwich restaurant in the region.
