Dr. Emily Horst, PT, DPT, OCS
Education: Emily graduated from Slippery Rock University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2017. She also completed her undergraduate work at Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science.
Specialties: Emily has a strong interest and background in treating sport and orthopedic injuries with a special interest and experience treating patients with rock climbing injuries. Emily is certified in dry needling and blood flow restriction therapy. Emily enjoys working with patients of all ages to help them reach their goals and perform at their greatest potential.
Fun Facts: Emily is from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, biking, and rock climbing. Emily enjoys traveling and has had the opportunity to provide physical therapy services in Peru and travel to Kenya with the Jackson Clinics to teach physical therapy students there.
Dr. Haval Rasheed, Physical Therapist
Dr. Haval Rasheed, PT, DPT
Education: Haval graduated from Mary Baldwin University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2022. He completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science. He has been a member of the APTA since 2019.
Specialties: Haval has a strong interest and background in orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Previously a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Haval enjoys working with athletes and has a strong background in return-to-sport testing, sport-specific rehab, and injury prevention exercise. Haval is also passionate about treating the spine and posture related pain/syndromes.
Fun Facts: Haval in his free time loves to travel, go to concerts, rock climb, skateboard, play tennis, and EAT. Haval is also a fried chicken sandwich connoisseur, as his current venture is to try every fried chicken sandwich restaurant in the region.
Dr. Thomas Brezinski , Physical Therapist
Dr. Thomas Brezinski , PT, DPT, ATC
Education: Tom graduated from the University of New England with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2024. He completed his undergraduate work at George Mason University with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training in 2013 and a Masters of Science in Exercise, Fitness, and Health promotion in 2018.
Specialties: Tom has a strong interest and background in orthopedic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, sports related injuries, return to sport rehabilitation, and vestibular conditions. He enjoys working with patients of all ages to help them reach their personal goals. Tom has previously worked as the certified athletic trainer for George Mason University club sports and Northern Virginia Community College. In the future, he would like to pursue his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, dry needling certification, and blood flow restriction certification.
Fun Facts: Tom is a native of Northern VA growing up in Stafford VA and is a massive sports fan. He grew up playing soccer, enjoys weightlifting, and participating in recreation sports with his friends. On the weekends you may see him covering sporting events as a certified athletic trainer on the weekends!
