Ben Keeton, Executive Director of Clinical Operations
Ben Keeton, PT, DPT, OCS
Education: Ben graduated from the University of Delaware with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. There, he worked as a Graduate Assistant in the research department, developed a paper for publication in APTA’s PT Journal, and graduated first in his class. He completed his undergraduate work the College of William and Mary where he majored in Kinesiology with a pre-med track. At William and Mary, Ben played Division I varsity baseball for 4 years and graduate Phi Beta Kappa. He is also a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and Board Certified Direct Access Provider and MBA Candidate at George Washington University. Ben has been certified as a clinical instructor from the American Physical Therapy Association.
Specialties: Ben is interested in rehabilitation of orthopedic conditions of all kinds. He has extensive experience with athletic injuries, postoperative care, chronic pain, and exercise prescription and progression. He is an educator at many levels in The Jackson Clinics, including teaching courses for professional development, mentoring new graduates, mentoring physical therapy students, mentoring orthopedic residents, and mentoring Clinic Directors and Office Managers on clinical operations. He has a passion for professional development, involvement in the APTA, and involvement in global initiatives for the advancement of the profession of physical therapy.
Fun Facts: Ben enjoys playing sports and is a Wiffle Ball Champion! He is also an avid fisherman and spends as much time as possible on the water. He loves to travel, and has worked with the Jackson Foundation to teach physical therapy in Ethiopia and Kenya as part of the ongoing Africa Programs.
Kristopher Porter, Director of Residency and Fellowship
Kristopher Porter, PT, DPT, OCS
Education: Dr. Porter graduated from UAB with his Doctorate in 2007. Two years later, Kris graduated from the orthopedic PT residency program at The Jackson Clinics and became board certified in orthopedics. He has been a mentor and didactic instructor for over a decade in orthopedic and sports residencies. More recently, Kris has been a faculty member in The Jackson Clinics Upper Extremity Athlete and Foot/Ankle Fellowship program. Kris also is the lead instructor for several courses on low back pain, foot/ankle disorders, as well as lower extremity and spine biomechanics and exercise. Kris has and continues to serve as a clinical instructor to physical therapy students from various universities and has served as adjunct faculty at Marymount University. Dr. Porter was co-author of the peer-reviewed Pelvic Girdle Current Concepts monograph published by the APTA and wrote a book chapter on Plantar Heel Pain.
Specialties: Kris is skilled in treating musculoskeletal disorders of the entire human-machine. If Dr. Porter is not proficient in treating your condition fully, Kris has a broad network and is happy to recommend another therapist, physician or other healthcare provider that can help manage and restore function as soon as possible. He works with patients of all ages and abilities to include competitive athletes, but he does not work with infants or toddlers. Dr. Porter makes custom orthotics for the foot and related disorders of the knee and above. He also utilizes blood flow restriction therapy and dry needling when traditional treatments don’t work for strengthening or pain management respectively. Kris was a college pitcher and has developed a deep interest in working with overhead athletes.
Fun Facts: Kris is committed to improving the profession of physical therapy globally and has been involved in physical therapy education programs in Peru, Bhutan, Ethiopia, and Kenya. Kris was a founding associate editor for a new journal, JOSPT Cases. Kris played college baseball, but he does not discriminate against any sport. “If I’m hitting, throwing, or catching a ball, especially with patients, friends or my kids, I’m in my happy place!”

Claire Dulin Ortiz, PT, DPT, OCS
Education: Claire earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University where she worked as a graduate assistant. During PT school she served as President of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association Student Relations Committee, and was Chair of the Community Advocacy Committee and Historian for her class. Claire graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Western Michigan University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Spanish. She is a Board Certified Direct Access Provider and an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. She graduated from The Jackson Clinics Orthopaedic Residency in 2016 and became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) after passing the specialty board examination. Claire earned her Clinical Certification in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (COMT) in 2022. Claire has been a member of the APTA since 2010 and served as the Secretary for the Northern District of the VPTA from 2013-2017. In 2013 she received the DPT Visionary Foundation – Gary L. Soderberg Doctor of Physical Therapy Award. She traveled to Africa with The Jackson Clinics Foundation to help educate physical therapists in the OMPT class in Kenya in 2016, and to mentor DPT students in Ethiopia in 2017.
Specialties: Orthopedics. Manual Therapy. Claire enjoys treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological impairments and has a particular interest in manual therapy. She is experienced in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries in areas such as the shoulder, knee, neck, ankle, spine, and sacroiliac joint and has worked with high-level amputees in the military.
Fun Facts: Claire loves soccer, snowboarding, cycling, hiking, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors. She enjoys music, travel, and learning random/useless facts. She has three fur babies, Maverick, Squirrel, and Goose (a dog and two cats). She likes to experiment in the kitchen and has a particular fondness for Blue Moon ice cream and anything from The Mitten State (Michigan).
Garrett Murray, Physical Therapist

Education: Garrett graduated from Misericordia University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During his time at Misericordia Garrett was inducted into both the National PT Student Honor Society and the National Pro Bono Honor Society and served as Outcomes Coordinator for the school’s pro bono clinic.
Specialties: Garrett has a strong interest in orthopedic and sports injuries. He has earned certifications in dry needling and tactical strength and conditioning. He is also a firm believer in empowering his patients with the knowledge and skills they need to maintain their physical health and well-being long after their therapy has ended.
Fun Facts: Garrett is a former collegiate football player and was selected to the All-MAC team as a linebacker. He enjoys exploring the great outdoors and has earned two certification in scuba diving.

Education: Ian graduated from George Mason with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. Then received his doctorate in physical therapy from Arcadia University in 2010. Ian completed The Jackson Clinics Orthopedic Residency Program in 2016.
Specialties: Ian has an interest in all orthopedic areas. He has 8 years of experience treating a variety post operative, traumatic, overuse and sports injuries.

Jessica Jones, Physical Therapist
Jessica Jones, PT, DPT, OCS, CLT-UE
Education: Jessica graduated from Marymount University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in August 2011. She completed her undergraduate studies at Roanoke College with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health and Human Performance with a focus in Exercise Science. Jessica is a certified clinical instructor (CI)and an active member of The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in the orthopedic section.
Specialties: Jessica has a strong background in treating orthopedic conditions including neck, back, pelvis, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle as well as post-operative orthopedic conditions. She has prior experience in aquatic therapy. She is a certified Lymphedema Therapist-Upper Extremity (CLT-UE) and a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). In addition, she is experienced in treating post-operative breast cancer rehabilitation. Jessica is passionate about helping people return to healthy, active lifestyles. She believes physical therapy can significantly benefit patients post lumpectomy, mastectomy, radiation and/or chemotherapy to return to prior level of function.
Fun Facts: Jessica grew up in Connecticut and loves snowy days. While at Roanoke College she played Division III Soccer. She is an active member of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) running/walking group, loves camping with her family, and long walks with her dog.

Education: Macie graduated from Marquette University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2024. She obtained a Honors Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with a minor in psychology from Marquette University as well. Macie has been an APTA member since 2022.
Specialties: Macie will be begin completing her sports residency with The Jackson Clinics this fall. She has a strong interest in sports-related rehabilitation, specifically those pertaining to lower extremity injuries. She has experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations through her background as a volleyball coach and camp counselor. Macie continued to develop her professional skills with this population during her final clinical while treating orthopedic/sports post-operative and overuse injuries.
Fun Facts: Macie loves being active and expanding her fitness journey as she grew up playing volleyball and participating in track and field. As a Chicago Native, Macie enjoys exploring new restaurants, sightseeing, and making the most of the outdoors during the summertime.

Education: Michael graduated from The George Washington University in 2010 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and was accepted into the National Alpha Eta Honor Society. He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy and was a member of the wrestling team where he was twice named to the Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll. Michael is a Certified Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association. Michael is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Board Certified Direct Access Provider and has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2007. Michael has also been trained to perform Trigger Point Dry Needling. Mike is a member of the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists
Specialties: Michael is a 2012 graduate of the Jackson Clinics’ Orthopedic Residency Program and he is a 2015 graduate of the Jackson Clinics’ Upper Extremity Fellowship. Michael is involved in residency and fellowship mentorship and is the co- director of the fellowship program. As a former Division I athlete, Michael has a strong interest in treating athletes of all ages and experience levels. He also enjoys treating a wide variety of pre and post-operative orthopedic conditions of the shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, lumbar and cervical spine. Michael has a strong interest in education and has developed and taught courses on the upper extremity to fellow medical professionals. He has also provided in-services to personal trainers from around the region on a variety of topics.
Fun Facts: Michael enjoys weight lifting, spending time with family and friends and all things Duke. LET’S GO DUKE!!!

We are located inside Worldgate Athletic Club & Spa. Enter through the main lobby of Worldgate Center, next to Panera. Our private entrance is located to the right of the escalators.
Parking: We have parking out front or in the garage. From the parking lot, go to the doors next to Panera. We are down the hall on the right across from the escalator. If you park in the garage, take the elevator to the first floor. We are to the immediate left once you come off the elevator.
