Elizabeth Signorelli, Clinic Director
Elizabeth Signorelli, PT, DPT, OCS
Education: Elizabeth earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019 from Stony Brook University. She completed her undergraduate studies at George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2016. She is a current resident in The Jackson Clinics’ Orthopedic Residency Program (completing in 2021). She is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). She has been an APTA member since 2016.
Specialties: Elizabeth has experience with post-operative rehabilitation and treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and diverse musculoskeletal injuries. In addition to her orthopedic specialization, she has completed her LSVT-BIG certification to work with patients with Parkinson’s Disease. With a background in field hockey and running, Elizabeth enjoys working with individuals looking to return to sport and recreation.
Fun facts: Elizabeth enjoys staying active through running, yoga, field hockey, and hiking. She competed and coached the club field hockey team at George Mason University. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring to gain knowledge through new experiences. She has been to both Ecuador and Kenya to provide and teach PT services. Elizabeth is very passionate about providing sustainable PT services and promoting overall wellness across the local and global communities.

Gabby Szymkowicz
Education: Gabby is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended West Virginia University, where she majored in Sport and Exercise Psychology with a minor in Human Services.
Specialties: As she has always had an active lifestyle, she has a passion for working with active individuals. However, regardless of the patient, she finds it rewarding to improve patient lives every day.
Fun Facts: In her free time, Gabby enjoys reading, thrift shopping, and cuddling with her cat.
Collin Close , Physical Therapist
Collin Close , PT, DPT
Education: Collin graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in Aug 2024. Before that, he had worked as a licensed physical therapist assistant in orthopedic settings since 2017, both in Raleigh NC, and Austin TX. He completed his undergraduate work at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and then worked as a Spanish language interpreter.
Specialties: Collin has a strong interest and background in orthopedic injuries and has experience working with club-level college athletes, post-operative patients, and people with chronic pain. He excels at tailoring your rehabilitation program to your specific functional goals. Collin does speak Spanish and has worked extensively with Spanish speakers in his previous PT clinics.
Fun Facts: Collin loves to be active and enjoys day hikes, paddleboarding, and going on runs. College basketball season is his favorite time of the year.

Education: University of Santo Tomas, BSPT 2011, Alabama state university, Transitional DPT 2013, Orthopedic Clinical Specialist 2022, Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist/Dry Needling 2024.
Special Interest: Orthopedic related to pain on shoulder, head and spine. Leisure athletes from kickball, beach volleyball, and weightlifting.
Fun fact: Cris loves EDM and music fest. He drove on the Pacific Coast Highway and Route 66 while he was a travelling PT. Cris enjoys watching drag shows. He completed a Chicago marathon and century bike ride in upper peninsula MI.
John van Koetsveld, Physical Therapist
John van Koetsveld, PT, DPT, OCS, CCI, Cert. DN, Cert. SMT, Dip. Osteopractic®
Education: Dr. John earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota in 2018. Prior to that, he pursued an Advanced Master’s in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac College (now Quinnipiac University) in Connecticut in 1996. His journey in physiotherapy began with a Bachelor’s degree from Hogeschool Midden Nederland (Central Netherlands Polytechnic, The Netherlands) in 1993. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, a Board Certified Direct Access Provider, and a Certified Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association.
Specialties: With over 30 years of experience, John has a profound interest in various orthopedic areas. His expertise extends to treating a diverse range of post-operative, traumatic, overuse, and sports injuries. He has honed his skills in spinal manipulation and dry needling through various institutions. John holds certifications in Spinal Manipulative Therapy (Cert. SMT) and Dry Needling (Cert. DN) from the Spinal Manipulation Institute & Dry Needling Institute, both under the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). His commitment to advancing his knowledge recently led him to complete his Diploma Osteopractic® through the AAMT, a comprehensive post-graduate training program in the use of high-velocity low-amplitude thrust manipulation, dry needling, instrument-assisted manual therapies, and differential diagnostics for neuromusculoskeletal condition management. After completing training in dry needling under ultrasound guidance, He is currently pursuing certification as a Registered in Musculoskeletal® (MSK®) sonographer.
Fun Facts: John used to compete and teach ballroom and Latin dance, even owned, and operated a dance studio at one point. He holds a private pilot certificate, and on weekends can be found flying his Mooney to various airfields in search of the perfect hamburger.
Patrick Lansdale, Physical Therapist
Patrick Lansdale, PT, DPT
Education: Patrick graduated from the University of Delaware with his Doctor of Physical Therapy in January 2024. He completed his undergraduate work at Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cognitive Science with a minor in American History. Patrick has been a member of the APTA since 2021.
Specialties: Patrick has a strong interest in orthopedic physical therapy and is passionate about helping people return to activities of daily living and recreational sports. He has prior experience with post-operative rehabilitation and treatments to improve balance and decrease falls risk.
Fun facts: Patrick is a native of the Washington D.C. area and enjoys visiting local art museums. He is passionate about staying active through cycling and weight-training. He also loves to read fantasy novels.
